A cozy living room with two gray sofas and patterned pillows, a wooden coffee table with a white tray, potted plants, a wall-mounted TV, a fireplace, and large windows with views of greenery.

A soundscape is described as the collective sounds in an area or space that make up its acoustic environment. It’s what gives a place a certain feel or ambience. You can imagine yourself somewhere just by hearing the sounds that are familiar with it. A soundscape plays a big part in how you feel and interact with the environment you are in. I want to take that concept and incorporate it into homes with the use of audio and video technologies throughout the house. Imagine music playing in every room as you entertain guests or enjoy a nigh off with the house to yourself. Having a movie night in your own home theater with surround sound and a big screen making it feel like you’re in the movie. Really get into the game when you can hear the crowd cheering from speakers behind you. What will be the soundscape of your home?

About the Company

I’ve been in the AV industry for about two decades, and have seen technology change quite a bit over that time. A few things have remained consistent though. One is the desire to have the ability to play music throughout the whole house, and another is to have an area to gather with friends and family to enjoy a movie or sporting event. As technology advances, the ways that these things are achieved have become more accessible than they once were. I have also found that often times, the simpler the setup, the better it works. Sometimes AV systems can get so large and complex, that there are just too many moving parts to all work together consistently. I like to take the approach of less is more. The less devices needed to make the system work as desired, the more it will get used and enjoyed. As consumer grade electronics have become more advanced and able to integrate with other devices, the need for complicated control systems has gone down. I don’t want sell you on a complex system that will need constant fixes and troubleshooting, I want to get you set up with a simple system that simply works.
